PAUL MC GARTOLL

Vice President, Strategy and Business Development, Textron Inc.

Paul Mc Gartoll is vice president, strategy and business development. He is responsible for developing global strategies that drive growth and profitability across the organization, overseeing Textron’s China and India offices and leading the Textron Strategy Council.

Mc Gartoll was previously senior vice president, planning and M&A, at Bell Helicopter, where he was responsible for developing Bell’s strategic business plan and formulating and executing its M&A strategy. He joined Textron in 1994 in the Washington office as executive director, international business development. He was later named managing director of Textron Europe, where he was responsible for initiating and coordinating business development activities in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

Prior to joining Textron, Mc Gartoll worked as a director of Braxton Associates, a Boston-based consulting firm, where he performed consulting functions for a wide range of U.S. and international clients and for General Electric as an engineering specialist and lead-commissioning engineer, managing projects in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Mc Gartoll earned a degree in mechanical engineering from University College Dublin and a master’s degree in business administration from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
