POSITION SUMMARY
The Candidate will be assigned to projects in one or more areas of Product Design / Structural Analysis / Flight Technology / Product Support. The candidate is expected to work under the supervision of a mentor who will provide the work assignments. Daily responsibilities may include research and trade studies, developing design concepts, performance calculations , structural analysis , Structural Dynamics analysis using commercial / In-house FE codes for product support. The engineer is expected to come-up with recommendations for improvements on the assigned work in a time-bound manner.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will demonstrate basic understanding of the following:
· Interpretation of Mechanical drawings
· Solid Modeling using CAD package
· Common fabrication and assembly processes
· Basic understanding of Aircraft structures design
· Basic understanding of Structural analysis
· Principles of flight and structural dynamics
· Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

POSITION SUMMARYData Engineers build and maintain data systems in support of data analytics and data science activities. The Data Engineer will implement methods to improve data reliability, data quality, and ensure success in data-driven initiatives. This position within IT Data & Analytics is responsible for identifying, developing, and executing solutions that support reliable and efficient extraction of data from source systems and loading of that data into analytic platforms. The Data Engineer will help administer data platforms and consult with data analysts and data scientists on process optimization and data quality improvements.At Textron Aviation, we are building a community of Data & Analytics professionals with an emphasis on collaboration and cross functional support. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES- Gain core business understanding of Textron Aviation and aircraft design, operation, and support- Query, clean, transform, and stage data (ETL/ELT) across on-prem and cloud environments- Support data analytics and data science activities by implementing, maintaining, and optimizing production ready datapipelines- Install and update software to ensure data platform continuity- Administer a CI/CD compliant code repository during development and update activities- Research and lead implementation of new technologies to support analytics function- Interface with other data professionals throughout the organization to embrace cross functional growth in analyticscapabilities- Work to improve data quality by leading data governance efforts in creating and maintaining data quality standards- Plan and execute projects according to established milestones and schedules- Conduct project/program briefings to management and end users- Develop and lead training for users in data & analytic tools and processes per best practices and compliance standards- Contribute to the resolution of service tickets pertaining to data infrastructure- Serve as an internal consultant to business leaders by advising on system capabilities- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to other Data & Analytics professionals
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES- Strong programming skills in SQL (other OOP languages also preferred)- Familiarity with Python, Java, or other OOP languages- Ability to create and schedule data pipelines (i.e. Apache Airflow, Azure Data Factory, etc)- Experience with on-premise data warehouses and/or data lakes (i.e. Oracle, SQL Server, SAP HANA etc)- Experience with cloud data lake/warehouse tech (i.e. Azure, Databricks, AWS, Snowflake etc)- Familiarity with big data parallel processing frameworks such as Apache Hadoop, Spark, Dask, is preferred- Linux and Windows OS experience including the command line- Experience with server and software administration- Comfortable with CI/CD processes in Github, Azure DevOps etc.- Familiar with software development lifecycle, including waterfall, agile, and DevOps methodologies

v Develop and optimize Quality Plans, Quality Assurance documents and Inspection Plans for parts and assemblies.
